Presented by Author Bob Withers with Dr. Robert Holzweiss, Deputy Director of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, this historical overview by these train!
Join this celebration honoring Presidents and their trains!
This historical overview begins in 1833 with President Andrew Jackson, the first president to ride in a train. Highlighted will be the unique train stories of President Abraham Lincoln, President Warren Harding, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, President Harry S. Truman, First Lady Lady Bird Johnson's "Special" train campaign for President Lyndon Johnson, President Dwight Eisenhower, and President George H.W. Bush. It shows trains continue to make a strong connection for people with their presidents.

The Science Mill becomes Mission Control as we explore Careers in Space Science on March 5 and March 24! Drive a Mars rover, design a launcher to carry cargo into space and hold a digital 3D solar system in your hand at the activity stations. In our video talks, hear about the future of space exploration (including space vacations!) from a former NASA astronaut and see how "space fossils" help an astrophysicist uncover the origins of our galaxy.
All aspiring astronauts are welcome to join Homeschool Day, including those with asynchronous schedules or in learning pods.
Mar. 8th - 19th
The Science Mill in Johnson City will host Robot Mania this spring break, with special robotics-themed activities at the science museum every day from Monday, March 8 through Friday, March 19. This year's new challenge: performing "surgery" with bionic robot arms! Visitors will also find robots that battle, draw and build, robot movies and "Code a Human Robot" demos, along with 50+ interactive exhibits in the museum and outside in the Science & Art Park. Activity stations run from 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm Mon-Sat and 1-3pm Sunday.

Jennifer Gaona presents for teachers the ins and outs of "Bush News" for elementary and secondary students. Viewers can ask Mrs. Gaona, a well-established leader of curriculum, questions about tailoring this program to their classroom.
"Bush News" challenges challenges students to look deeper at several pieces of major legislation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Clean Air Act.
